This team is in hot mess right now and it going take more then a year to fix it. People complain about the trade but I am not because we wasn't winning with those two neither and I not expecting to win with the 3 guys we got either too. There was rumors there was better offers but again there was rumors and we don't know what kill the the deals. The trade might been 3 or 4 option who knows. But what pieces do we keep to move forward is the key. You can't have guards that can't guard licking person out there it just don't work and can't have guards refuse to play with the rest of the team and that's what we got I hate tell you people. You know what we don't even win with healthy Dame. We probably have more wins but we would be still stuck in play-in situation. The righting was on the wall the first play-in 2 years ago we play perfect basketball to get to playoffs that year should been we should started to tear this team apart. I am going tell you right this going take more then year to get us where we want to be and that's going be good draft picks and great trades that move the needle in the right direction. Does this trade does that no but you got start somewheres don't you. CJ needs to go and probably Nurk. Nurk might be alright if he had guards that kept him involved and 7 attempts not going cut it to keep him motivated enough.

Just because we weren't winning with Powell and Roco doesn't mean you basically give them away for free. They are both talented players in the league. This is taking talent off the team when we supposedly are trying to build a contender around Dame.

That still does not mean you just trade the two most talented players in the trade for a future 2nd and another 6'4 guard.

Covington was leaving anyway you either gets something for him or not. Plus his offense was pretty trash this year and he not lock down defender but a decent off ball defender. Now Powell was playing the wrong position and with his contract he definitely was coming off the bench plus his defense wasn't very good so basically he became a Dame and CJ one deminsional player. Now at least all 3 players we got are decent defenders on ball are they star no neither was Roco or Powell. Keon was 21st pick last draft but remember Simons came out basically only high school and AAU ball and was late first round and Little late first round and he definitely didn't have a great freshman year a North Carolina and look at them after 3 or 4 years in the league. Matter fact they both didn't turn the corner until this year. Keon might be in the same boat I know he was better college player then Little was and we probably won't how good or bad this trade was until 1 or 2 years down the road.

We know now. It was a horrendous trade. No need to wait 1 or 2 years down the road.
