Should we trade for Jerami Grant?

  1. Yes, he's a very good player, and I provide evidence below

    12.8%
  2. Sure if it's not for much - I wouldn't give up the Pelicans' first rounder though

    54.7%
  3. No, he's overpaid and inefficient

    29.1%
  4. Other (explain)

    3.5%

Yeah he was born is Portland cause his father Harvey Grant was playing with the Blazers at the time of his birth but I am not as down on Grant as some are BUT i will agree not sure i would like the trade IF we gave up the Pels pick. However I think there is a decent chance the Pels could make the playoffs this season cause if you look at there schedule i only counted like 7 to 9 games that I would go -- there is a loss the rest are 50/50 type games. This being the case I might not mind as much cause I think there is a good chance the pels will be a playoff team next year so the pick might only be a 15 to 20 type pick.

I think Grant could flourish playing next to Dame but it is a gamble but at this point it might be worth a gamble to keep Dame happy and keep his ass in Portland.

    Add Lillard to that lineup.

If they're playing they better screw it up.

That's not true. He was more efficient when he played with Denver.

Lillard won't be playing this year, so not relevant in the context of the post.

Yay, but definitely not for the pelicans pick or Nurk. Ideally Brooklyn doesn't even want Simmons and wants to retain flexibility. Not sure Simmons would be a good fit in Brooklyn so maybe we can still do that in a multi team deal.

"Lillard is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks following surgery. On Saturday, Jan. 22, Lillard spoke with the media for the first time since undergoing surgery, saying he's "not in a rush" to return and more discussions will be had once he's re-evaluated following the six-to-eight-week timeline."

Irrespective of recovery time, there's no benefit to him or to the team for him to play at any point this season.

They probably want either Hart or the 1st, neither of which the Blazers want to give up

How do you know that the Blazers won’t give Hart in a deal to get Grant?

If the team somehow won the play in, there would be no benefit for him not to play.

I would trade Nassir little for Jeremi Grant.
We use our other assets like the draft picks to get a really good power forward/ center.
Imagine a lineup of Lillard, Hart, Jeremy Grant, really good center forward, Nurkic?

The idea that this collection of scrubs could win enough games to even reach the play-in, let alone win it, is absolutely laughable.

I wonder if he might give it a go in a game or two just as a bit of a test run. Yeah, no point in him risking it much, but approaching it like a preseason game and testing his body's response might be prudent.
