The eagles barely win 23-20 because David Akers kicked a 23 yd feild goal with 9 seconds left in the game,Can you guys picture the pressure put on the kickers? But anyways...Player Shorts:QB Donovan McNabb: Injuries may have taken a toll on McNabb, who was beaten and battered throughout the game. Truly, it was a tale of two halves for No. 5. He was off-target with many of his passes in the first half, finishing the first 30 minutes with a 40.1 passer rating. McNabb did, however, rebound in the second half, throwing for 266 yards on 19 of 28 passing, two TDs. He was sacked once and threw one interception. WR Terrell Owens: Held to just 2 catches for 16 yards in the first half, T.O. emerged in the second half, including three catches for 36 yards on the game-winning drive. T.O. also hauled in his 100th career TD, becoming the 15th player in NFL history to accomplish that feat. RB Brian Westbrook: The yards were tough to come by early, but Westbrook delivered big plays at key moments, including his career-long 62-yard reception which set up his 5-yard touchdown off a shovel pass from McNabb. Westbrook chipped in a pair of receptions for 30 yards to jumpstart the game-winning drive. WR Greg Lewis: Lewis caught six passes for 70 yards, including a clutch 13-yard grab on a third-and-nine play on the game-deciding drive. TE L.J. Smith: Coming off a career day last week, Smith chipped in five receptions for 50 yards, but he committed a costly mistake down in the red zone, losing the ball inside the 5-yard line with his team ahead, 20-13. In the first half, he had one downfield pass go right off his fingertips. The Eagles' front seven: Led the way for an Eagles' run defense that limited LaMont Jordan to a mere 19 yards on 16 attempts. Missing DT Darwin Walker, guys like Hollis Thomas, Mike Patterson and Sam Rayburn and even Paul Grasmanis stepped up. LS Mike Bartrum: With David Akers in visible pain early on, Bartrum stepped in and handled the kickoff duties. His kicks weren't pretty, but they didn't have to be. PK David Akers: His day started with pain as he aggravated his hamstring on the opening kickoff. The day ended in jubilation as he drilled home the game-winning kick. P Dirk Johnson: Johnson struggled with his consistency much of the day, and finished with a net average of 34.9 yards. The Steelers did lose this game, but again Roethlisberger with 0 interceptions.
