    I remember when I covered BC and they had the influx of Chinese pitching their tents in BC from Hong Kong. They loved to go across the border purchase new clothes and leave the old ones wherever, so they wouldn't have to pay duty going back into Oh Canada. Its was a big problem in strips malls parking lots.

    Isla Majures is a must go. Such a cool vibe. Many nice restaurants. This one Italian place owned by some gringo expats was off the hook.

    The water is crystal clear on the far side of island we were on. Always felt really safe there too.

    We have made it to the historical city of Campeche. It's on the Gulf of Mexico. It's gorgeous.
