He always sucks after he does not play for a while. Sulking little sieve. It would also help if any of these idiots can score five on five consistently.
If anything, the Rangers should be all in for Miller. If he stays with Vancouver so be it, but if he is dealt we better be the place. Hajek, Lundqvist, Chytil, Kravtsov, Jones, 1st round pick - any combo of the above I would do for Miller. And he is signed next season for $5.25M, which is great. Imagine these lines: Kreider/Ziban/Laf Pan/Strome/Kakko Goodrow/Miller/Gauthier anyone/Rooney/Reaves You back up those top two lines with a 3rd line anchored by Goodrow and Miller (I don't care who you put on RW), and a 4th line anchored by Rooney and Reaves (don't care who you play with them - just no McKegg). That is a very deep talented team. Then Drury should add a vet LD to pair with Schneider and roll with this D: Lindgren/Fox Miller/Trouba vet LD/Schneider That is a SC winning type D when you look at our forwards, and Igor in goal. And if the moment proves too big for Miller you flip him and the vet you add. This is a team that can absolutely win a SC. First order of business is stay in 2nd or 3rd in the division, and we will beat Pitt or Wash in round 1. Second order of business is Drury needs to step up, and a Rangers GM needs to understand the lay of the land with all these kids/picks, and add some needed support to get us over the hump.
Vancouver is not trading Miller. That's a bunch of bullshit. They will be adding. Not selling. They are now 18-7 since their new coach took over. I believe they have a good chance to make the playoffs. The Rangers should not give up any 1st or second round draft picks IMO in deals. In fact, in the off-season they should look to trade with the Yotes and acquire 2 or 3 second rounders they have in this years draft. I believe they have 5 or 6. The Rangers need to keep the pipeline stacked as they won't be able to pay everybody. Gourde is the guy I would go after. If Drury traded Lundkvist for him straiaght up I would be OK with it. If he had to throw in a prospect like Ronning or Pajuniemi that's fine. Georgiev should be dealt immediately. I'm fine with a second rounder for him. He's not a backup. He can't come in after long layoffs and play well. So basically, he's useless here now. As a starter over 5 games he usually gives you one great game, two good games, one average game and a terrible game. He can start for another team.
Gourde is the best fit. He would be a huge upgrade at a much less cost. If they traded Chytil and Hajek for Gourde I would be fine. Chytil has had his chance here. He's shown flashes but his MIA act has gotten old here. He needs to go to a bad team and get 18 to 20 minutes of icetime and first PP time.
