I have thought the same thing. And many real military experts also. Ukraine is very conservative with their air force since it is so small. They may have determined that there is a large amount of anti-aircraft firepower in that convoy which might also be why they have not attacks with TB2 Turkish made drones. They only have about 15 of these drones left and they only fly at 80 mph so very vulnerable.. I have thought they should at least send special forces out at night with these hand held NLAWs that can destroy anything besides a tank.
It's huge losses but still not a big % of what they have and they keep bringing in more. But yes, figures are probably exaggerated.
Russians are now focusing and hitting civilian buildings, mostly large apartment buildings. Civilian casualties over 2000 now. Ukraine not listing military casualties anymore, Here is a video worth watching if you want to see incredible bravery; unarmed protesters advancing against gunfire. Ironic thing; all the things they yell at the Russian troops are in Russian language, while troops were told they came here to protect Russian speakers.https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-at...wKP5yAMBKdNJ7KoqLUneXih6RJp49I-vQmwWs82AQXpIg

Oliver Alexander @OAlexanderDK The real number of Russian Armed Forces KIA is probably around 1500-2000, 3-4x higher than the official Russian number and 2.5-3x less than the Ukrainian number.
Makes sense. It's like the rule of 3 when dating. If a girl tells you how many partners she has had you can multiply the number by 3, if the guy tells you how many they have had them divide by 3.

Russians Fire on Ukraine Civilians Blocking Road to Nuclear Plant "More unbelievable bravery from everyday Ukrainian citizens," responded one journalist. https://www.commondreams.org/news/2...ukraine-civilians-blocking-road-nuclear-plant
TRANSLATION: *i am a native Russian speaker Recording starts mid sentence: They’re giving their kids away as cannon fodder. They dont know where they are driving. Stand up women. Bring them up to their feet. Lift up people, see your son is alive and well, nothing will happen, nothing will happen to him. Stand up and lift up your people as people. Go to railroads, roads, and bridges cover them, do everything. They brought together young soldiers. The convoys are blown up. Convoys, convoys of your russian soldiers. They should just leave. He is here now. He did not even know why he came. Here, to us. They are driving old tanks Woman speaks: Natasha,Natasha everything is good, natasha can you hear? Thats it. Here talk, talk. Alright Natasha, goodluck, God be with you. Everything is good. Say goodbye. Later Natasha, we will establish communications with you. He is alive and well, we will communicate with you There are some nuances with what they were saying. Using terms like "Patsan" in a friendly way describing him as a young man. The man was issuing a call to action for Russian citizens to stand up and protest he was also sympathetic to the young Russian soldier. Overall an extremely friendly interaction, and by the looks of it they are treating them well.
Are Americans so selfish they would rather see Ukraine wiped off the map than pay a little more or drive a little less? Yes, I know the answer...but I don't have to like it!
