Some things I noticed on videos of Eubanks:
    -He throws hard, accurate passes.
    - He's definitely better that Watford at grabbing rebounds. And, good news for our team, he can combine that with his hard, accurate passing to immediately get the ball down the court after a rebound, sometimes even before he's landed with both feet.
    - He dunks a lot. Can catch a lob and dunk.
    - Good scorer around the hoop.
    - Can get down the court quickly for some cherry picking.

One thing he was awful at in college was handling the ball down low. He would turn it over or get swiped a lot. Hope he has improved there.

In the NBA he barely touches the ball at all on offense. When he does, he's not dribbling. His scoring is almost all layups and dunks.

That can be said about 95% of all centers. Once they put the ball on the floor in traffic it is as good as gone.

maybe he's saying that the total contract has to fit within the MLE?

not only that, Portland is now 15M under the tax line. Couldn't they use a full-MLE of 9.7M right now? less Watford's salary. They would still be well under the tax if they maxed the MLE

Good chance we waive McLemore before March 1st so he can sign with a contender, and then we sign Eubanks to a real NBA contract.

There really isn’t any reason for McLemore to be here anymore, even if they wanted him back next season. So unless they want him back and he has requested to stay (unlikely) just let him go

Would like to see Eubanks back next season as second or third string center. Ideally we’d draft Duren and Eubanks can just be deep insurance. He’s got limitations but I don’t think we’d find much better on a minimum contract.

maybe. C's on veteran minimum deals this season:

    Dwight Howard
    Enes Freedom
    LaMarcus Aldridge
    Hassan Whiteside
    Andre Drummond
    Dewayne Dedmon
    Frank Kaminsky
    Nemanja Bjelica

big men's value has tanked in the last few seasons. I don't know

It’s a great story. I love that the kid gets to play for his hometown team, but he’s not good

Not good, but love his effort. After getting a game to get settled, he is averaging 13 points and 9 rebounds per game in 23 minutes per game, shooting .733%. He knows his role.

Keep him around, worst case Nurk learns how to finish at the rim from watching this guy. Seems like a high effort team guy that wants to be here. If Blevins can be on this roster for 2 seasons so can this kid.

He is just no big enough to guard players like Ayton and KAT. However, he battles like crazy, knows his role, and is shooting a ridiculous .773% in his last 3 games with 8.7 rebounds in 25 mpg. If he was going up against a smaller, backup center, he might be doing even better and wouldn't be getting housed on defense.

I’m dating myself but I see him as this century’s Dale Schluter. Not seriously talented but useful as all hell. One of those guys you only miss when they’re not around…..

You need 3 centers, and at least one of those needs to be on a very cheap contract. Seems like Drew could fit that role.
