I know it wasn’t our pick but it was the draft that got us Dame which you understand.

The point is we have no idea whats what with this and many other injury situations. Pretending that you do and then getting all worked up over your guesses on a message board as if that will do anything besides create a spectacle is very silly.

Btw- with our schedule getting easier and us playing like we did yesterday, we could still accidentally fall into into the play-in.

This is in no way lower than 05-06 where this was our roster. Yes, we ended up drafting well in 06, but at this point in the season in 06, things felt much much worse.

They got him they a trade, yes. They gave up the 5th pick (Trae Young) in that trade. If they had the 12th pick, the trade doesn't happen. Tanking got them Luka.

You can create 5 caveats for every teams success.

Those are just the 5 biggest there are out there. There are plenty more where that comes from. We still don't even know if Chauncey can coach. Obviously all he's doing now is telling them to go out and compete. Which isn't happening. 3 consecutive 30 point losses should tell you that. Billups is going through the motions with a team that isn't expected to win. As far as I'm concerned this is his first year of the two i was willing to give him to get it together. He has one more or it's "Fire Billups" thread time.
At this point Billups isn't even bringing what Cheeks brought.

Oh boy would that just be the luck. maybe they can lose the Pels pick too? Then of course we have to listen to Lillard change his mind and tell the fanbase he just doesn't see the point anymore.

No question that was bad. You better hope the greatest Blazer that has ever played here gets drafted this summer.

    Cavs
    Spurs
    Rockets twice
    Seattle
    6ers
    Nets

all disagree. It’s not fool proof, but it’s a massive reason those s got good quick

    Ha Ha Ha.
Seven situations that i can honestly say three came out fairly well for the team. I mean who can argue with the LeBron pick or the Duncan and even Olajuwan picks.
You do realize that the Cavs though have had four #1 picks over the last 20 years and Lebron left them in total disarray not once but twice. We can excuse that because he did in fact come back and get them a championship.
Now Seattle? You don't want to go there.
76ers? Are you speaking of Ben Simmons or Markelle Fultz? Or are you going back to AI? You see the issues here right?
Nets? Are we talking about Kenyon Martin? Really? The Nets organization has been so bad for so many years that only their current incarnation that I'm not sure will work is even worth speaking about but i guess you could point out they have some number one picks on their team and of course a number 2 pick. That is great but then you do also realize three of the other teams you listed picked those players. Oh wait Griffin was picked by the Clippers who still have not won a Championship with or without him. Neither have the Nets for that matter.

You know come to think of it. The Magic also tanked to get Shaq and Chris Webber. How did that work out?

Fuck i can do this all day. Tanking rarely works out.

Bottom line and this will be my last post on this thread. This is one of the lowest points in the history of this team. Lets all hope this works out and we don't lose Lillard and stick in the bottom lottery teams for 3-4 years and then claw our way back to just making the playoffs and losing in the first round and saying "Wow it sure is nice to make the playoffs".

This is not even close to the worst moment in Blazers history. That came after 9-11 when increased security measures disallowed @crandc from sharing desserts with the team when they visited the Bay Area. Can't think of a lower low for the team.

For me its the year after the Championship when the team was 50 & 10 and we are talking possible dynasty, then with injuries we crashed. Then that summer Walton decided to leave and sue blazers and Dr. Cook.
Went from a real high, red hot & rollin too, a real low. I know, at least we got to taste the glory even if it was a short time.

Some people just like to post assholish posts and make things personal. Just ignore their asses. They are the blackhole of this place.

However what the blazers are doing isn't a low point. Its just called playing the game. Lotto picks are huge assets and increase with a top ten and a top five and a top three pick.

Were digging for gold with a decent change of striking it this time around with the picks. How they are used is another topic. But what we are doing is the best long term choice.
