If we want to Debate Duncan that is fine. But I still would take Kobe when starting from scratch. Nash, Curry, and even KD are not on Kobe's level.

I agree that Jordan is better than Kobe and Jordan is better than Lebron. I can entertain Lebron being better than Kobe, but Kobe's attitude and killer instinct still have me thinking about it. I'd take Kobe taking over a game at the end over Lebron.

Yes, but he has the stats to prove his case.

    Bo does not.

But regardless of career stats, Bo is acknowledged as a generational player.

Greatest high school athlete in Oregon history.

So.... sure, generational Oregon high schooler.

    As a pro, no.

If we're talking about multi-sport athletes, Dave Winfield is arguably one of the greats. Drafted in all of the big 3.

I never knew he was drafted in the nba.
I remember watching a bluejays game once where they mentioned he was in the nfl draft but i dont remember if they said who drafted him.

im fully confident if dion sanders would have gave it a shot, he could have been serviceable in the nba even if he couldn't shoot.

    Excellent list.

I would add Kobe and Magic to the top list.

Ha! IMO, Kobe is underrated and Iverson is overrated.

AI was a ballhogging low-percentage volume shooter (note, not volume maker.)

Kobe was a stone cold assassin, the hardest working player ever, clutch, the epitome of greatness (and I hated the bastard!)

    Thanks.
i completely whiffed on Magic. Kobe is suspect to me because he had a generational talent next to him in shaq, but i can certainly see the argument for him.

I know. If it weren't for those he wouldn't even be suspect in my book. But he does deserve credit for those. When pau gasol is the second best guy on the team, one cant deny Kobe some credit. I put him closer to the dwade category than an mj category though. So in my opinion he is just borderline generational i suppose? Lol.

Dude was an all star in 2 sports. How many other people can say that? He supposedly ran a 4.1 40 and could truck people with his strength. Probably the best athlete of all time. Definitely top 5.

Once again, Kobe 3 seasons above 25 PER.
LeBron and MJ - 3 seasons (each) below 25 PER.

How Kobe is mentioned in the same breathe as those two is mind boggling.
