My first memories of the price for one gallon of gas, was 23 cents in 1971. Last Sunday a gallon of regular unleaded was $4.31 Wednesday I paid $5.51 for a gallon, a $1.20 hike overnight. Yesterday the same gas station was out of gas. One Day Later: Other gas stations we're selling a gallon for $5.99 and as high as $6.40, and that is for regular not premium grade 91% or higher octane. I don't even want to talk about the price of premium, but feel free yourself. What is the price for a gallon of gas in your area?
I wish I had never moved away from the south, Georgia, Louisiana. I'm far enough Eastward, approximately 12 miles from the San Andreas fault, so if California slides into the ocean I'm safe.
Here's pics of a couple gas stations in West LA. Funny in a way, as many who live in West LA can afford $10 a gallon, to go with their multi-million dollar houses and their $200,000 cars. Just a couple miles away one can find gas cheaper than anywhere else in California. Guess in the land of commuting, freeways cars and trucks, no one drives a couple miles to get gas a couple bucks cheaper if not a few.
