Whoever thought pairing Westbrook with LBJ would be a good idea is not good at basketball. In fact anyone who thinks pairing Westbrook with anyone is a good idea is not good at basketball.

Go read posts or articles from the summer. Tons of fans and analysts were saying how great the Lakers would be, how they have all these future hall of famers and veteran guys like Rondo, Dwight, Melo, Ariza, DeAndre, Bradley, Bazemore. Then they have youth in THT, Dunn, Monk. Many saying they would be dominant or the title favorites. Think they may have even been a betting favorite.

There were certainly many of us who thought this roster was a joke and likely to fail just as it has, but that was far from a consensus.

But at least he's making up for it on offense, right?

Perhaps if he doesn't like being referred to as Westbrick....

I think our current squad would beat these bums in a 7 game series, they’re so bad.

They started off tonight 2-for-21 from the field and 0-for-12 from 3. At home.

    Raptors are shooting 67%

I'm recalling a post from a while back where a poster (HCP?) bumped into Russ and shared his optimism for the Blazer rook from Webber State who hadn't even played a summer league game yet. Westbrick basically wouldn't play along and talked trash about how he was going to bust him up. What a dick.

He's got a 50+ Million dollar player option for next year... whats the chances he'll decide to run it back with the Lake Show again?

I find it funny that Russ can’t handle people calling him westbrick but had no problem disrespecting everyone that played against or looked at him wrong back when he was “good.” He deserves everything he’s getting right now, minus the family/personal stuff

Scottie was handling their whole squad. LBJ didn't like it and tried to start shit. Scottie no sold him. Lakers take the L.

If we can find a Scottie Barnes with one of our two picks in the lotto, our entire trajectory for this rebuild will change.

It really seems like there is a chance we could see LeBron and Davis traded next season.

I doubt they do it in the summer; they probably try to flip westbrook on an expiring and get more washed up vets. But in December or January when that doesn't work, their barely in the playin, and LeBron has talked about leaving to whoever drafts Bronny.... wouldn't the Lakers have to look at pivoting directions to go young and rebuild?

Davis is younger and has a few more years under contract so maybe they could keep him. But it doesn't seem like there would be a reason to keep a 38 year old LeBron on an expiring contract with no chance to contend.

Well, in the meantime I'll have fun eating these sweat sweat Lakers tears.

I was saying the same thing to Chris last night. Barnes is a great example of a rookie that can help you right away.
