I think the last sample that we had of Grant as a third option which is what I'd have to assume he'd be behind Dame and Ant or maybe even an option 3b behind Nurk, had a huge impact on Denver. Barnes has also had a big impact on winning teams. The fact is that neither of these guys has had the type of stars around them that allow them to do the things they're best at. I think both if given an opportunity again at contributing to a winner would in fact be big time difference makers. That's when we're looking at offense. Anyone looking at these guys defensive stats has to know that they are extremely skewed by the success of their teams and the kind of defensive assignments they are getting without a lot of help. Barnes seems to have slowed a little from the time that he was considered a defensive specialist early in his career but I do think he would still have a positive impact on our ability to get wins in the regular season and more importantly the playoffs. All of that said, these two aren't who I hope we would end up with as our biggest roster upgrade.
