Lakers have really blown it with high lottery picks. Since 2015 they've had 3 second picks in the draft, and 1 fourth pick in the draft. None are on the team now!
If HBO was actually a Chad, they would have still named it Showtime as a flex on their competitor. Clearly they're just a bunch of betas.
i'm not a lebron hater by any means, but think he's destroying the morale of his team with his tantrums. Last night was a Kobe level performance.
As much as i can't stand the Fakers, it does look entertaining . I am enjoying watching " The Fall of the Lakers" though.
I knew SOME stories about Jerry West being miserable, but if this is at all accurate... Plus, did Kareem REALLY tell the kid from Airplane! to fuck off? I kinda wish they inserted the real people in so that they could comment to camera about the accuracy. It's not like McKay doesn't like to break the fourth wall. In the movie 24 Hour Party People (about Tony Wilson, head of Factory records, and therefore also about all great Manchester music) it has a scene where Howard Devoto (of The Buzzcocks and Magazine) gets off with his wife, and then it cuts to the real Howard Devoto saying he has no memory of this happening. BTW, did everyone notice that the second episode was directed by... Jonah Hill?
Wait... Jerry West didn't want to draft Magic and quit as Laker's coach because he didn't want to coach him?!? This true?
I read a lot of this show isn’t accurate much. Like for example Jerry West never drank alcohol and in the show they have him drink a lot. Some famous super agent who works for the pistons now wrote a piece on how the show isnt true much. But it is good so far I watched the first two episodes! here’s the piece he wrote https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t...-tellem-winning-time-guest-column-1235113928/
Never forget the architect of "Showtime" as a scheme was none other that Jack McKinney, who left the Blazers under Jack Ramsay to coach the L*kers.
And I absolutely love this series. The casting is amazing, not just Reilly and Clarke. Danny Noonan perfectly captures Jack Kent Cooke, who Tony Kornheiser dubbed "The Squire"
Not yet. I can't wait. I mean the series starts out with a great set of tits at the Playboy Mansion. The Starsky & Hutch look of the series is perfect
The last one didn't come through the draft though. Thats my point. Unless you are fortunate to have a couple super stars on the team it a tough prize to attain. And they never drafted James and Davis.
