My god...Parise is still in the league?!
Thats a lot of draft capital to give up...Copp has to be signed to an extension in the off-season. Think we see either Braun or Copp in the lineup tomorrow or is that too quick a turnaround?

I wouldn't see why not unless they want to get them a practice in first.

I really like the day. Didn't give up a 1st rounder unless we make the ECF, didn't give up any good prospects, added two forwards I think are great fits (Motte is a very good 4th line add), added a dman that is a clear 3rd pair upgrade.

Now let's go on a long playoff run, and re-sign Copp.

To clean things up: To Wpg… a 2nd that can become a 1st if NYR wins two rounds and Copp plays 50% of the games. Another 2nd, WPG’s option in 22 or 23. A final 5th round pick in 2023. Plus, prospect Morgan Barron. To NYR: Andrew Copp and a 6th in 2023.

I said before anybody the salary cap saved Sather when he was a moron. Long before Gravy and his pea brain put that together. Sather though finally got his shit together for a good stretch. The more you see Drury, the more you see what a cluster fuck Gorton is. Gorton would have never traded euro pussy Buchnevich. Which not only got us Blais but the pick helped get us Cobb.

Surprised Georgiev wasn’t moved for picks. He’s gotta be moved over the summer so we don’t lose him for nothing. That would be terrible.

As for the moves we did make, I like them. Addressed a lot of needs on the team without giving up too much in future capital which is important. Just need to make sure we resign Copp or else that’s an overpayment.

The only thing i don't like about the Copp deal is the 1st stipulation. Might've rather just said it's 2 2nds plus Barron which is a pretty solid deal itself, but i guess if it means we're doing that well in the playoffs so be it. The pick would be in the 28-31 range anyway.

That stipulation doesn't bother me at all. If we make the ECF that means our pick is 29-32 range. Not a big deal, and not that much difference from a 2nd rounder if we lose in round 1.

I’m assuming it’s if we make the Eastern conference finals or Stanley Cup finals that it becomes a first

Good assumption since that's literally what the deal readout says...lol.

The Rangers acquired Braun from the Flyers in exchange for a 2023 third-round pick. The 35-year-old blue liner is a veteran of 100 playoff games and can play on the left or right side, which gives the Rangers some flexibility.

After playing top-pair minutes in Philadelphia, Braun will likely slot into the third pair next to either Patrik Nemeth or Braden Schneider. In 61 games this season, Braun has scored five goals and 11 assists.

Braun is a pending unrestricted free agent carrying a cap hit of $1.8 million.

Always thought Braun was solid with SJ. Definate upgrade from Nemeth though he's been ok since the AS break. Can play either side i guess.
I wouldn't be surprised if they package both Georgiev and Gauthier together to recoup the 2nd/3rds. Chytil could become a nice sweetener to move up in the draft or acquire someone.

People are assuming that Georgiev is an unrestricted free agent he’s not he’s restricted so I don’t give a fuck if he doesn’t want to sign with us he will do what we tell him to do

Maybe he can have a few more solid starts down the stretch to improve his value even more. Huska could be ready to be the backup or they'll sign a vet. Garand is probably 2-3y away still.

I like the deals. Copp is a good player, is always ranked high in fantasy hockey which means he produces stats. Motte is decent in case someone gets hurt. Braun is good for depth. Always good to have extra dmen in the playoffs.

    Goodrow-Copp-Kakko
    Chytil-Rooney-Reaves

good bottom 6. Too bad they didn’t move Chytil. He doesn’t fit in

How about Vatrano with Zib and CK. I’ve watched about 5 games all year (sad to say)

It will be interesting to see where it goes with Kravtsov. He's eligible to come back over soon but who knows what the restrictions are. Maybe Panarin and Shest can help patch up the issues with he and the organization.

Kravtsov is a pussy. Fans are going to instantly love Cobb. He's exactly the type of player Gallant will love. I'm so happy for Barron. He was fucked over by Gallant. Really one of just a few complaints I have with him. Otherwise, Gallant has been tremendous. Drury didn't do a good job with Barron either. They should have let the kid go play in the AHL instead of sitting around. Same with Hajek. I think the Rangers are going to package Kravtsov, Georgiev and Hajek in the offseason for a number 1 pick or perhaps to the Yotes for 2 secound rounders and a piece they can use going forward.

Copp is 54% on draws too which is a plus. Another thing that i think factored into who they brought in was that all of these guys have a connection with one anothrr through the USDP and/or Michigan which helps coming to a new team. Makes the transition a little more smooth.

Islanders need to fire senile Lou. The fact he didn’t sell shows you what an incompetent dumb fuck he is.
