The over the top toxicity when they drop a game is comical. Obviously a terrible effort which seems like a letdown after the last two games. NJ and the Islanders are going to treat these games like game seven of the cup. Have to forget it and move on. Three of the next eight games are against the Pens.
Motte kinda sucks. Braun stinks. Copp might be something useful going forward. LOL that's pretty much what I got from this game.
I think they may still be feeling the effect of the Carolina game, with maybe a little letdown up 2-0.

It's part of this team maturing. They sometimes seem satisfied trying to sit on any lead they get. They also need to stop passing up good shots.
I would put very little stock if any at all in this game and what it means going forward outside of using the 3rd def pair as sparingly as possible in the playoffs.
The problem with Gallant and it will eventually be his downfall is he lives and dies with vets. He never demotes them when the team sucks but takes it out on young future players of this franchise.
