    Do we know that for sure? I can kind of see him wanting to come back for another shot. But it's definitely the end of Drew Timme's college career.

    Overperforming would be doing better than their overall seed rank. If you're a #1 overall seed, it is impossible to overperform. If you are a 4 seed, you would need to make it further than that Sweet 16 to overperform.

    The #1 overall seed losing in the Sweet 16 would be underperforming. Doesn't make them a bad program, bad coach, etc.

    Why on earth would he come back for another shot? He's got the hype, he's got the guaranteed top 3 pick. He's got nothing else to prove at the collegiate level.

    It'd be like Zion saying "nah, I'm gonna come back to Duke for one more year."not comparing the players, but comparing the situation. It'd be idiotic for him to go for another year.

    30 years ago, it would have been ludicrous to even suggest Chet would go pro after one year of college, with how far away he is from being physically ready. I'd hate to be the GM drafting him in the top-3, figuring his rookie contract might be up before we even know if he'll be able to contribute.

    I miss the days when guys went pro because they were ready for the next step, rather than to get a head start on their rookie deal so they can start making the big bucks quicker.
