I've seen speculation that it was a kamikaze drone that we gave Ukraine. It's pretty much a flying bomb. Or it was an operation carried out by Ukraine's version of the Navy Seals with divers putting an explosive against the hull. I hope we and the Russians never find out. Not knowing will fuck with them more.
I think the best case scenario from all this will be for Russia to keep failing, Ukraine to regain their autonomy, and for the Russian citizens to completely revolt against Poutine and his Oligarchs. Not sure how something like that could actually happen, but they have to be getting fed up with all the sanctions and their economy going to shit.
How can you have a cold war against a joke of an enemy? Russia is a complete joke. Their tech is old and falling apart. They can't even beat Ukraine. And with the sanctions that are imposed, they have no chance of rebuilding their military.
They could beat Ukraine. They are choosing not to glass the place. But I think that's the only way they could beat them. There are some pretty terrible chemical weapons, though, I'm sure.
That’s not really beating them though. Their aim is to conquer and annex Ukraine. It’s hard to annex an area that can’t be inhabited for a thousand years. And then NATO gets involved. To me that’s a big loss for Russia.
