    • Greene seemed to reference debates about bathroom access for transgender people. Buttigieg is gay, not transgender.
    • The congresswoman made the comments at a Donald Trump rally in Georgia.
    Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg and his husband should stay out of girls' bathrooms while speaking at Donald Trump's rally in Commerce, Georgia, on Saturday.

    "You know what? Pete Buttigieg can take his electric vehicles and his bicycles, and he and his husband can stay out of our girl's bathrooms," Greene said at the rally.

    Greene seemed to be referencing ongoing debates about what bathrooms transgender people should use– but Pete Buttigieg and his husband Chasten are gay, not transgender.

    Kentucky legislature trying to pass anti trans bill. There is exactly one openly trans female athlete in the state. She is in 8th grade. She organized her school's field hockey team and plays on the team. The state, in their wisdom, want to ban her from the team she organized.

    DeathSantis, unsurprisingly, signed don't say gay bill. He brought a bunch of children to stand behind him, to stress the hateful bigotry that gays "recruit" children.

    Pete Buttigieg, white, male, Christian, gender conforming, veteran, Ivy League educated, successful career, stable marriage, two children, has become the new Republican bogeyman. Because gay people aren't supposed to be all that. We aren't supposed to be at all.
    So Marjorie Q Greene talks about him using girls' restroom, which he doesn't. Senator Tom Cotton is moaning that "liberals" want you to walk, oh the horror, take the subway, or ride a scooter or whatever it is that Pete Buttigieg uses. Translation, drive a gas guzzler to prove you aren't gay.
    Straight males so terrified of women and gays. Outlaw abortion, ban trans people, don't even say gay. These macho men are terrified.
