No. Jimmy Butler is not now available, and will not be because of last nights issue. This is Miami's M.O., it's what they do. Things in Miami, are most likely all back to normal. Next.
When did Butler's work ethic become an issue? He's obviously had attitude problems, but his thing was always his teammates being unwilling to work as hard as him.
Probably an ego thing. My guess is he was not playing as hard as Spoelstra wanted him to in that game, and he felt that he was above being called out.
Could be. The video looks like a "war of words" situation, but that could have resulted from him mailing it in that game or something.
Jimmy Butler is a great player but that’s it. Not a good teammate, not always coachable, blames others, no thanks.
I agree Butler has issues but I would still take him. At this point assembling a contending roster is long shot. A really long long shot, so personalities may have to take a back seat.
Yeah, if this team had an opportunity to acquire Butler to couple with Dame they'd be remise not too, do so. He would be fine with Dame & Hart, also tough as nails hard worker.
I'm not taking a hit, so I nominate our very own @Chris Craig. I guess @chris_in_pdx would work in a pinch.
Sounds like the job for a moderator. And since it appeared to be a slap not a hit, any influential, unfortunately non-female dogs up for being Pritch slapped?
I would love to have Jimmy Butler. I dont care about his personality, hes a winner. Cant think of a better duo to handle his bullshit either than Billups and Dame.
If the Blazers could get Butler and not break the bank doing it... you've got to. Dame doesn't have many prime years left.
I go back and forth on Butler. He gets a lot of assists but that is because he likes to control the ball. I do not see great ball movement when he is in the game. His 23% from deep the last 3 years is terrible. I realize he is good at attacking the basket and getting to the line, but his 50 million per year the last two years of his contract will be a huge issue. Of all the cities he has played in, is Portland really the place he will be happy? It seems like we can find a cheaper version somewhere else that plays great D and can't shoot 3's
Even more issues down in south beach. Butler has never played for a western conference team, maybe that would do him some good. If he doesn't exercise his player option he might be the best free agent on the market.
