Got the Wyze delivered this afternoon and I'm liking it. Was working out in the yard and I didn't notice it was there. Good alternative for the price. Thanks @SlyPokerDog

I am thinking I'll try and fix my Samsung since it is a only small, cosmetic defect. If anyone has any suggestions, below is a picture of the issue. I'm thinking I'll heat the rubber 'gasket/seal' with a blow dryer and place it back in there. Might need a heat gun if that's not hot enough. Or pull that glue stuff out of there and just rock it. Idk.

Have you looked for a youtube video on how to repair your watch?

My dad said the exact same thing when I showed him what happened. I definitely will.

Hair dryers work as a heat gun.

I'm not a fan of those, especially the larger models. The display quality is great of course, but trying to drive with it strapped to your wrist is really tough.

It wasn't that big, maybe 42 inches. I coupled my electronic knowledge with the video and saw it was a bad electrolytic capacitor in the power supply. I've fixed a ton of those at Tektronix. I spotted it and replaced it with an even better one than the video called for. There must have been thousands of complaints about that in early model Samsung LED TVs.

I've by using my wyze watch for a few months now and although it's been great, I do have a small complaint. The bands that come with it are kind of weak. I have already snapped two. Word to the wyze, buy a watchband somewhere else.

I liked the idea of a smart watch, and really liked the gear watch that I had. Loved the hardware dial and custom faces. Had one which told me everything I needed to know and included buttons to everything I might want to know. Was awesome.

Unfortunately watches in general poke the back of my hand and cause a sore spot. I thought I just needed to get used to it, but it just got progressively worse and even turned into a visible bump after about 6 months.

    So haven't tried it again.

Similar thing happened to me with my old gear watch to point that the first thing I do when I sit down at my desk for work is take my watch off. This wyze watch has been a lot more comfortable. I can even sleep with it on, which was never an option before.

Last band for my cheapo Fitbit clone broke so I got a Galaxy watch 4 and I really enjoy it. Works real well with my pixel, first and only watch with wearos 3 which I really like.

I got sick of charging my watch, so I'm just using a G-shock "Casioak" now.
