    I admired Lamonica, but I was a bigger Bart Starr, Johnny Unitas and Namath fan. I still have his 66 NFL card, as a Raider, but his card photo and Jersey was still as a QB for the Buffalo Bills (traded).

    Yeah, I believe he was Jack Kemp's backup in Buffalo.

    I forgot all about Jack Kemp, thanks for the reminder!
    The 1st Autograph I ever obtained was Johnny U, the 2nd was Bart Starr.
    I tried to no avail to get Lamonica's at Oakland Alameda Stadium during the 1968 and 1969 seasons.

    The mad bomber grew up about 10 mi away from where we were living at the time. Honestly it wouldn't have bothered me had the Raiders of won SBII, though I was a cheese head before we wound up in CA.

    I had almost forgot Lamonica was actually drafted by the Packers in the 1963 NFL draft, but he went with the Bills in the 1963 AFL draft.
