I know. The Mets had beat the Reds 3-2 in the series before. Had the Reds won that series, well, hence my comment.

California man, 34, is charged with threatening to BOMB Merriam-Webster's Massachusetts HQ because he was angry it defined female as 'a gender identity that is the opposite of male'
    • Jeremy David Hanson, 34, of Rossmoor, California, faces a federal charge of interstate communication of threats to commit violence
    • He could face up to five years in prison and a fine of $250,000
    • In October 2021, Hanson is alleged to have sent threatening messages to the Massachusetts-based Merriam Webster headquarters
    • Hanson was particularly corresponding with the entries for the words 'girl' and 'woman'. Authorities identified Hanson as the user sending the threats
    • 'It is absolutely sickening that Merriam-Webster now tells blatant lies and promotes anti-science propaganda. There is no such thing as 'gender identity'
    • 'You [sic] headquarters should be shot up and bombed,' he added

Those A's teams of the 70's were classic. In a way, it reminds me of the Dolphins teams of the 70's. Good ol' days.

At the time they were considered a disgrace. Long hair, beards, outspoken. Very vocal Black players. Rowdy fans. And they beat all the establishment teams. There's a great film, Rebels of Oakland about the A's and Raiders. Favorite quote was a guy who said there were no cliques, Black, white, old, young, all drank from the same bottle and then threw it at someone.
And yes, I was there. A bleacher seat was $2. I remember being pissed when price was doubled to $4 for World Series. But not pissed enough to not go.

There's just something about Oakland. :)

Hey, we went to a Tower of Power concert last night. Amazing performance! They said the band began somewhere near Oakland in 1968. Two of the originals are still with the band!

There is something about Oakland. Ask Damian Lillard. And Kamala Harris.

No thanks. I have no desire to enter a debate regarding religion.

Even an atheist like me accepts that Jesus existed.

What kind of desperation/fear would lead anyone to deny the most existence of the most followed and documented man to ever trod this Earth?

    Get a grip people.

There is no documentation of Jesus by his contemporaries.

I didn't ask you to debate religion at all.

You made an absurd claim and said you could cite numerous arguments against that.

    But you didn't.

    LOL, calling yourself a liar.

If you can't do it, then don't say you can. Delete your empty claim. I believe SPD calls it "outrageous disinformation" and he might block you if you don't move fast.

Religion has nothing to do with whether Jesus existed or not.
