    It's kind of funny that anybody considers China a risk to the US. Their whole economy depends on the US. And who would want to move there?

    I kind of agree. I think people conflate, or group together China with other Asian countries. Countries like Japan and Korea are extremely innovative and manufacture some of the best products in the world. What does China really do from that standpoint? Steal patents and manufacture abysmal versions of products designed in other places? I can’t think of many industry-leading brands coming out of China right now. The pinnacle of their advancement is technology designed to clamp down on their citizens and steal more data and ideas from other countries. I don’t mean to shit on China because I’m sure the people are awesome, but communist governments don’t exactly breed fresh innovative ideas. The only way China would scare me is if I was a citizen in that country.

    I went to China a few years ago. The Great Wall was a bucket list item. It is a total police state. Creeped me out. So happy to get out of there.
