I guess the Pope chimed in commenting that NATO barking at Russia's door, instigated Russia invading Ukraine. WTF
You have to apply to gain NATO membership... If Russia doesn't want it's neighbors to apply to be a part of a defensive alliance Russia might want to think twice before the whole Georgia thing... and then there's the whole Crimea thing... I know the Pope is trying to help calm things down, but I'm just throwing that out there as something to think about...
They need Ukrainian farm land and they need to be able to use the rivers and ports. If he starts lobbing Nukes he has signed Russia's death warrant. They are already going to die, but that would finalize things.
Seriously this is what I'm seeing. Russia invades Ukraine. Ukraine doesn't roll over and makes it a real problem. Oil prices soar and gas prices follow suit. The American people start to buckle down and support Ukraine for a while and even make it through a "Slap" Russia continues to fail and decides to just start killing randomly. The US continues to support Ukraine but is afraid to get too involved for fears of Nuclear holocaust. Energy companies begin making huge amounts of MONEY but the US continues to buy gas. Energy companies keep the prices high even though there is no shortage of oil and measures have been taken to keep gas flowing. Someone leaks a report about the Supreme court decision on Roe vs Wade. Energy companies are ecstatic that they no longer are on the front page with gas prices and the War trudges on continuing to give them reasons to make astronomical profits. There is more- All of this is costing thousands of lives in Ukraine but we keep filling our tanks with gas.
Well, we aren't buying the gas from anybody. We're using our own. But I get your point. At a certain point we will need to ban exports of oil. Maybe another month or two... That will hold our prices down.
I guess Russia's neighbors aren't feeling like Russia is being very neighborly... Sweden and Finland NATO Membership Could be Approved in Just 2 Weeks—Report https://www.newsweek.com/sweden-fin...o-weeks-russia-ukraine-invasion-1703349?amp=1
It’s going to be epic when Ukraine destroys the Crimean bridge. The longest bridge in the world will be destroyed and Putin will be so butthurt
