I like the Levy, Mess, Chelios trio though. Tnt has too many cooks in the kitchen.

Unfortunately, a dumb penalty in game three while up 2-0 changed the series. They need to regroup after this one a get ready for a big game five at home.

And dumb mistakes led to the penalty also. But I don't like the effort tonight at all. It wasn't like they were getting dominated, but they didn't have any push or passion and fire. Just kind of blah, and TB played a patient lying in wait game. Very flat tonight I thought.

Even if they can pull game 5 out of their asses, they’re not winning game 6. I thought they would at least win on the road. Let’s face it they’re garbage road team

But they don’t need to win on the road to win the series.

TB is a good team. Not saying the Rangers aren't but, you had to expect TB to bounce back at home. So now its best out of three with at least one game in MSG. any one of us would have happily signed on for that at the start of the season. Hell, at the start of the playoffs!

TB woke up and played their best game so far but now it's back to the Garden and home ice. TB made some careless turnovers in their own zone but the Rangers couldn't convert. and didn't work hard enough to draw penalties. I thought Rooney was one of the better players for the Rangers tonight and I love Reaves but if he's not going to hit there's no need to dress. The Rangers have been dominant at home - they're not dead yet.

I think this article by Brooks is spot on. The Rangers were flat and listless. I don't think they were terrible, just blah and didn't play with the energy and urgency needed, which is a big knock in game 4 of the ECF.

    https://nypost.com/2022/06/07/rangers-had-no-answers-in-ugly-game-4-loss-to-lightning/

I also agree with Gallant's comments on the first period:

“I don’t think it was an awful first period,’’ Gallant said after the game. “I didn’t think it was a good first period by no means, but we’re playing against a pretty good hockey team that was pretty desperate again tonight down 2-1.’’

Rangers don’t seem to play well unless the situation is desperate.
