In Dyson Daniels' last 10 games, on 3-point shots, he shot 15-33. That is 45%.

Personally think I’d keep pick if he’s available

For a guy whose defense is supposed to be a strength...it sucks!

Instead of looking at just mechanics, I look for a couple things:
Is his form easily repeatable? Same foot work, same arch, same follow through.
Does it come easy or does it look forced?
Is everything moving straight up? As in, the more parts moving sideways, or out of straight alignment, the more problems it creates. (Is his elbow sticking out? Does he shoot of the right side of his face or does he shoot across his face? Is there good rotation on his follow through or is it spinning a little sideways?)
The best shooters I've seen have very simple, easy to repeat form. Minimal moving parts. They make it look easy. Dame can shoot from 30' with the flick of his wrist. He'll never slump for too long because his shot is so simple.

He shot 60% from the ft line. Thats usually the best indicator for how a prospect will shoot in the league

So if they were both available at #7, would you take him over Duren? They are both projects, both highly athletic, but we have actual info on how one plays 5-5. You don't see that info as at all useful?

I have never liked drafting centers. I think the best way to acquire centers is through free agency or trade. Przybilla and Nurk were both acquired after another team used a draft pick on them. Duren is intriguing though, but does he have superstar potential?

Defensively he does. Howard, Ben Wallace. That type of impact

these are HOF'ers. I think that's reaching a bit. If he had really that kinda buzz, I think he'd be projected top 3, no?

Ben Wallace was undrafted. Both built similarly, both came in as defenders

Collins was also supposed to be a defensive monster.

In his last 10 games he was 7 0f 15, 47%. He barely got to the free-throw line with the Ignite, averaging about 1.5 attempts per game over 29 games.

Yes, he has superstar potential. He is very different from Przybilla and Nurkic. His ceiling would be something like Dwight Howard with the ability to defend the perimeter well enough (better than Nurkic and Przybilla).
If he could add a consistent jump shot he could be a super duper star.

I think this guy has a little better chance to be a defensive monster than Zach Collins.

Ben Wallace had a positive DBPM every year but his first. Duren has a shit ton more ability than Ben Wallace, this the lottery projection

My point is that Duren will come in and be an instant help on defense. He could never become an offensive asset, I think he will, but maybe not. His defense and rebounding will be solid from day one

    Bigger hands
    Quicker
    Faster
    Better vert
    Actually started for his team

Zach is a good defender, but Duren appears to be a tier above him, and he’s 18

Walton and Sabonis were from the draft.

At 18 years old he's early in his development, but physically... height, weight, length & jumping... he's more Hakeem then Capela
