Brett Favre. This man is one tough S.O.B, he takes so many hits and gets up like its nothing. He also can play while injuried.

Brett Favre. David Carr may also go down in history as one of the toughest because he is getting sacked like crazy and remarkably hasn't been injured. (or if he is and is playing hurt, well, tough player)

Jack Lambert, Kellen Winslow, Brett Favre and Steve "Air" McNair. That's who I think the toughest players of all time are.

Wow....a lot of you are really showing your age, with some of your choices.Jack Lambert played a NFC Championship game and a Super Bowl with a BROKEN LEG. That is 10x more impressive than any injury Farve has played through.Hines Ward? Give me a break. Yeah, he's tough. But toughest player ever? Hardly....

I think even though it says "in History" of the NFL, some people never got to see the opportunity to watch some of the great ones play because they weren't even alive yet, therefor they turn to the tough guys that they watch every Sunday.
