Yeah, I’ll take food and a roof over my head over political pissing matches. Different priorities I guess.
A roof over your head under a dumbass Putin dictatorship? Because that's what we've got in store for us if people aren't terrified of pulling that shit again. No thank you.
I’m not afraid of Putin, I don’t watch enough television to buy into that boogeyman bullshit. I’ll let Ukraine worry about Putin. There’s currently an unsupervised geriatric in a suit causing more havoc in my day to day life than some asshole on the other side of the planet.
No, it wouldn't be Putin. It would be whoever pulls off the insurrection... But that's the style of life you'd get to look forward to. Like living under Putin, Kim Jong Un, or Xi... Being homeless under our current system is far better.
Trump releases 12-page response to Jan. 6 hearing https://thehill.com/news/administration/3522080-trump-releases-12-page-response-to-jan-6-hearing/
I got to page 2. The person that wrote that, because I know it wasn't Trump, has a different definition of treason than I do. What complete drivel. I'd say it was a disgrace to all previous presidents, and it is, but they don't have many legs to stand on either. Sorry if that comes across as a "both sides are bad" argument. Not my intention. This is and has been serious 'Hitleresque' behavior. The GOP isn't the Reich, but this clown was very close to making that a real possibility. Thanks Reality TV
Saddest part to me about that Dan Rather tweet is the "When it could have made a big difference". It's like he knows this is all just political theater and no one will ever really be held accountable. Shaming their name doesn't seem to have much effect anymore?
Yes the Jan 6th commission is political theater in that they can't prosecute or level punishment, revealing what happened and shaming the perpetrators hopefully has some consequences in November. Having one inner Trump circle person after another point their finger at Dumpster is pretty damning for those voters who are somehow unclear. It's the Justice Department that has the teeth that should bring justice both prior and after the next election. They seem to be somewhat working their way up the food chain with their indictments, getting the mid-level Aholes to flip on those higher up. Proud Boys and Oathkeepers are the fish on the deck at this point. STOMP
the January 6th commission is in essence is playing the role of Joseph Welch. It was his comment to Joseph McCarthy that basically turned the public against McCarthy. My hope is they end up turning over all this shit to the DOJ, and Turdolini finally gets what he deserves, same with anyone who supported this grifting con man.
It's not really working. Every one of my Trump supporting friends are calling all of this "Fake News". They are even saying Ivanka's testimony was fake and it was all recorded so they simply manipulated what she was saying. Took everything completely out of context. Essentially cut and pasted everything she said. My friend said this even after reading Donald Trump's response to her testimony.
I think the people who say stuff like that don't actually believe it, but are not at a stage where they can accept they were conned, etc. The death grip that Maga has on them is incredible (but for people to act like this cultist behavior is new is silly. They've been deep in the GOP cult for decades)
Dont know if it's the higest ever or whatever he said, but https://www.fiercehealthcare.com/pa...ate-hike-medicare-advantage-part-d-plans-2023
So from this link it says it was proposed as 7.98% and finalized at 8.5% because of Rebasing/Repricing impact that was not available when the original proposal was made? Not seeing where this is all going to profits for companies that donated to Joe Biden? This seems like an increase due to inflation and expenditures? It also says this is only for Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage plans. Part D is supplemental drug coverage. This was used to reduce the cost of insulin as well as other needed Rx costs. Medicare advantage covers Special Needs and HMO's so where is that a bad thing? I guess when someone says "the money is going to companies that donated to his campaign" i think about something being dirty? That obviously isn't the case here?
