Should we trade for Jerami Grant?

  1. Yes, he's a very good player, and I provide evidence below

    12.8%
  2. Sure if it's not for much - I wouldn't give up the Pelicans' first rounder though

    54.7%
  3. No, he's overpaid and inefficient

    29.1%
  4. Other (explain)

    3.5%

I agree about Simons but it appears we have two different timelines going, the Dame timeline and the Ant timeline. I would rather go the Ant timeline but if management is dead set on winning with Dame I can see Ant being traded, we don’t exactly have tons of players other teams find valuable. The only way we are upgrading our front court is by trading some combination of Ant, Nas, #7 and TPEs. For the record I don’t think Ant will be traded and I wasn’t pushing for it.

Would you trade Bledsoe, Nas and #7 for Grant and #5?

You’d think Fuckin’ Bert would’ve learned by now that mid-tier band-aids (RoCo/Norm/Grant/etc) will only keep this team on this treadmill.

Probably if it meant we were guaranteed Keegan at 5.

Why on earth would that be? Giannis will turn 30 that season and is under contract. He'll likely be the best player in the league. Jrue has an option for that season that I doubt he turns down unless he's been extended. Also, that team's management has done a great job building a contender so there's no reason to think that in three seasons they're going to let that slip away. That pick seems very likely to be in the high twenties.

Jrue will be 35 and possibly retired. Middleton will be 33 and has been having knee issues... new knees don't grow on trees. The great job the Bucks management has done building a contender has nothing coming up in the pipeline to replace their 2nd and 3rd best players. I see Giannis likely forcing his way out and the Bucks returning to be Milwaukee once their window to compete starts shutting... that might be sooner then later.

But but but, Giannis is would fetch a King's ransom right? Not necessarily. He's already shown some cracks in the armor with ongoing knee issues... those aren't going away with time.I expect them to be in full rebuild mode.

Suggestions like these are what get people all butt hurt when an actual deal takes place. Why would Detroit trade down to swap grant for little? Gimme a fucking break.

I wouldn’t trade Nas to trade up. DET likely doesn’t want Nas in a trade down with Cunningham and Bey already there.

Little breaking out is going to give us the best chance to compete. This isn’t the summer to trade him, he’s shown enough flashes for me to be excited about—I’d rather keep Little and bank on his development than to trade him for the sake of trading up two spots. If one of the top 3 bigs fell, I’d consider trading up.

If the team traded Little, I’d understand, but I hope it’d be at the deadline. I see no risk to letting Little develop another year. If Little can play, he will likely impress a team enough that they’ll want to get his RFA rights and trade a late 1st next year for him.

Lets just bring in enough frontcourt players to make sure he doesn’t have to bang with bigs every night. He should be strictly covering guys 6’7 and under.

Ant is a free agent so he can't be traded at the draft.

yes though if I'm the Pistons, I'd want to limit the deal keeping the pick swap out of it. They might get Ivey at #5, but I doubt he makes it past Indi at #6

Obviously Cade is a pillar that they're building around, but he's 2 guard sized not SF as he was advertised coming out. With Grant leaving they will need another forward.

Yep...first objective is to be profitable by filling seats by making playoffs. Any advancement or even a championship is all pie ale-mode.

When current Warriors owners bought the team and were introduced at half court of the first home game, they stated that they were going to hang banners next to the lone 1975 championship. They were mocked by fans and media for doing so.

It all starts at the top

Nurk broke a leg, a wrist, and sat out much of last year too! What percentage of games had Nurkic played in over the past 4 years? It’s not “dependable.”
