    The real Travis?

Can't be..... who was the chick that you used to sit next to in the nose bleeds of the press section back in the old days?

It is…. Are we talking 2004? That was Brandy who worked with me at KEX. If we’re talking like 2008-10 ish. Jamie Hudson.

Well, I'm pretty good at pissing off the voice of the Blazers. Wheels is still angry at me for being glad that we fired Bobby Medina.

I'm just playing around. Well, not really about Wheels. He was really really upset when some of us were glad that they fired Bobby Medina.

Honestly I was just shocked when you said you hadn't seen a single clip about Sharpe.

You probably don't remember me but I was one of the Hoopsworld guys who sat behind you and Brandy. Been out of the game a long time.

I felt more of the wtf after reading that. Kid is 1. delusional and 2. unreliable, leaving Kentucky high and dry. Awesome.

He gamed the system. He went to Kentucky early, joined the team in the middle of their season, and he clearly never had any intention of playing for them. He always wanted to go pro.

Let's say you're Sharpe. You joined the team halfway through the season, you didn't get a training camp or a chance to really practice with the team. You have all these expectations as the #1 prospect. Suddenly a bunch of their guards get injured and they want you to play. What are the odds that you actually look good in a new system, new team, and you haven't played a game in a year? I don't blame him for sitting out at that point. Sure, he could have potentially boosted his stock, but the risk was much higher than the possible reward. Supposedly he wanted to play but his camp advised him not to.

Probably not man. I saw Jay a few years ago and he couldn't pick me out of a lineup. And I worked with Jay for a while. I was an intern at 910 back when he was sound boarding for Colin Cowherd. I was a super skinny kid back when I covered the team. I looked about 12 years old. It's amazing what 20 years and 20 lbs will do to you!

Congrats on the gig though man. Amazing that you were up there with us all those years ago and now you're down there in the seat! So awesome.

I don’t hold any 18 year old for their career choices. This seems to be smart.

Ivan Rabb was almost guaranteed to go between 2 and 5 in the Jaylen Brown draft. He went back to school for some reason and we know the rest of the story. Stories like that should scare all high profile prospects.

Sharpe would’ve gone into a tough situation as well having to learn the Kentucky system half way through the year. He was still clearly the best player in Kentucky practices according to scouts, but practice is never the same as a game.

He made the right choice for him, and it honestly might benefit us in the long run because he slipped to #7. Shaedon is almost 3 years younger than Murray. If he played a year of college basketball, there’s no way Murray would’ve ever went ahead of Sharpe.
