It is not the people who are beautiful that we love. It is the people whom we love that are beautiful.

Isn't that what Benghazi was? Political theatre for the sake of a witch hunt? Isn't that what they are trying to do to AOC for having worked as a bartender?

The current Republican party seems to hate anything that is not for white male supremacy.

You might care when one of you gets sick, and the other can't attend in the ER because they're just a friend and not a spouse. You might care when you can't share insurance because you're not married. You might care when you can't help make end of life decision because you're not family. And then there's those sweet tax benefits married couples get that single people who co-habitate just don't.

I remember hearing stories from queer friends who struggled with these issues before gay marriage was legal (and passively afterwards by religious-minded hospitals and nurses who hassled gay couples a bit until they showed proper paperwork). But any unmarried couple goes through this, and those same religious-minded hospitals and nurses will hassle you, or outright deny you the courtesies and rights afforded to white spouses.

If you ever want to read a great book, and one which also happens to feature an abortion dr. from a time when abortions were illegal, read The Cider House Rules by John Irving. Fantastic book, and very hard to be anti-abortion after reading it.

Raised from birth in the orphanage at St. Cloud's, Maine, Homer Wells has become the protege of Dr. Wilbur Larch, its physician and director. There Dr. Larch cares for the troubled mothers who seek his help, either by delivering and taking in their unwanted babies or by performing illegal abortions. Meticulously trained by Dr. Larch, Homer assists in the former, but draws the line at the latter. Then a young man brings his beautiful fiancee to Dr. Larch for an abortion, and everything about the couple beckons Homer to the wide world outside the orphanage

Such a good swordsman he fell for a catfish on this very site and was a white knight for said catfish. Makes me wonder if the catfish ever received any dick pics or not.

For the first, I think that'd be great, as long as paternity can be clearly established.
For the second, no: the Constitution clearly confers citizenship at birth.
For the third, I wouldn't be surprised if there's an insurance company who would do that now.

Clinic staff who had to abruptly cancel all appointments report women crying, begging somebody anybody to help them. There are fears women will be preyed upon by for profit adoption agencies. And most of all that women will die.

And there are those who are thrilled. Delighted. Because causing women pain and suffering has always been the point. That's the motivation. Punish the whores.
