After seeing the Cowboys come back and beat the Eagles on MNF last night because of ANOTHER end-of-the-game pick thrown by McNabb, and then him taking that big shot from that Cowboys Linebacker, does anyone else agree with me that he needs to just get the surgery now?The guy is going through complete torture, and though it is hard to think about--the Eagles season is pretty much shot, as they are at the bottom of the NFC East, they have a losing record and T.O. is gone for the season. Not to mention, THEY REALLY DON'T NEED McNABB TO WIN GAMES. McMahon looked real good on that last minute attempt for a comeback drive they had. Had Reggie Brown caught that beautifully placed pass, they could have gotten off something close to a 30 yard feild-goal and won. He also looked really poised. Westbrook also makes a great contribution to that offense if you just hand him the ball--he looked real good against the not-too-shabby Dallas defense.Finally--ANDY REID IS A MORON.Things he needs to improve on:1.) ACTUALLY KICKING FEILDGOALS AT THE END OF THE 1st HALF WHEN YOU ARE IN FEILDGOAL RANGE--Adding 3 points to the scoreboard NEVER will hurt you.2.) Think about your quarterback, the LEADER OF THE TEAM. The guy has a sports hernia. You can't be that selfish and make him play, or even allow him to play. You can see it in McNabb's eyes and face, the guy is hurting every second of the game. Reid should have FORCED him to get surgery when he got the sports hernia in the first place.3.) UHHH WHAT IS THEIR PASS/RUN RATIO? 8-2 or something? WAKE THE HELL UP. You need to establish the run if you wanna win games pal, YOU NEVER DID THIS IN THE PAST AND YOU'VE GONE TO 3 STRAIGHT NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES. Why start now??? Not to mention--YOUR QUARTERBACK, THE GUY YOU HAVE THROWING LIKE 50 PASSES A GAME HAS A SPORTS HERNIA.That's all I can really think of for now but what do you guys think?

Nah... I don't think you can completely blame Reid. I mean, he did put McMahon in on the last drive, which I'm sure took a lot for McNabb to not stand up and just run out on the field for the hell of it. On a sidenote, McMahon, I thought, showed incredible poise in the closing seconds of the game. That deep pass was perfect but that guy (whoever it was wasn't recognizable; looked like a backup wide out) didn't hang on.I was pulling for McMahon to take the Eagles to the endzone, so naturally I was disheartened when Akers missed the field goal. Why put McNabb in when he can barely make it back to the sideline after he took that shot from that linebacker? On that drive im talking about, McNabb played like crap. Why put McNabb in at all when you have a guy like McMahon who could be doing just as good if not better? As for kicking the 60 yard feildgoal--WOW. Retarded. Here is some simple math.Leg MINUS hamstring EQUALS can't kickAkers just recovered from a hamstring problem, and the record for longest field goal in a game is 63 yards. Yeah, right, making a field 3 yards short of the record with a guy recovering from a leg injury. IN YOUR DREAMS REID. Throw a Hail Mary next time baby. P.S.-- Akers kick was so pathetic it barely bounced into the endzone.

Woah woah woah... Your latest posts are making me doubt your football knowledge. Seriously.Akers just came back from an injury. Did you hibernate for an entire week or did you just happen to miss Akers' amazing kick a few weeks ago, when he needed to get help coming off the field? He made an extraordinary kick from where he's at right now... Besides, do you really think that McMahon could have completed that play? The guy's got an amazing arm, but I'd be willing to bet that he'd get sacked before he'd find a receiver down field.

uhhh, they have a guy doing kickoffs (Cortez) for Akers for a reason--THE GUYS LEG STILL HURTS LIKE A MOTHER.And yeah, they definately had better odds of winning the game by bombing it and either completing a pass in the endzone or drawing a pass interference penalty on Dallas. Yes I do. And you should too. I doubt Akers couldn't hit a 60 yard field goal in a clutch situation like that if he was 100%, he has a strong leg but not that strong.

Reid isn't that stupid; give him more credit... He wouldn't send a badly-injured player out to close out the game.

I defy you to prove to me that what you just said was true. Unless you were trolling along the sideline when Reid make the decision, I'm done talking to you.

I saw Andy Reid send David Akers (on the injury list for a Right Hamstring problem) out on to the feild to attempt a 60 yard game winning field goal, like I said, THREE yards short of the record.Let me repeat myself, an injured kicker, attempting a field goal JUST SHORT of the record, to win a game. And that in itself is just non-intelligent. Anyone else here would agree that a pass from McMahon, THOUGH UNLIKELY, still has much higher odds of having a positive impact on the game.also: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I'm sure Akers wanted to go out and try it.</div> When it comes down to it, it isn't what AKERS wants, it is what is in the team's best interests.
