Whats considered rushing him back though? The return from an ACL can range from 6 months to more than a year, so it's hard to put an actual timeline on it. But him being ready sooner than later seems more realistic considering the clean tear and where hes at in his recovery currently. He's older but he's also never been a player that relied on athleticism.

Mitchell Robinson looking at 4/60 apparently. That's a decent contract for him

thats a bad contract for the new york knicks if it happens

no game on offense whatsoever, not a good rebounder for a center, can defend some and hes athletic

i guess thats worth $60 mil nowadays

    https://www.si.com/fannation/nba/fa...ury-stanford-study-nba-players-return-to-game

Average recovery time is 10 months, and the average age of the players in the study was 25 +/- 3.5 years, which is much <34. Ingles had surgery Feb 23, 2022.

That alone puts him at a December/January date.

Not to mention the first few months after coming back from an ACL injury is most likely going to be an adjustment period, I don't really see Ingles playing very well even if he did buck the trend and come back early. He was already losing a step before he got injured, and was never a good defender to begin with. If we sign him it's going to be almost purely an asset play IMO.

I agree with all of this. The odds none of Little, Thybulle, or Hart miss at least 10 games is minimal. Also, we have 4/5 of our likely closing lineup set with Lillard/Ant/?/Grant/Nurkic. I like the thought of one of those three playing depending upon what we need that particular game (shooting, rebounding, point of attack defense - and the type of player that's giving us trouble).

Blazers announced they extended a QO to Simons. Thats not noteworthy. Whats noteworthy is that they didn't extend one to Elleby, or at least it doesn't look like they did otherwise they probably wouldve announced it together. See ya!

There's something to be said for making more than 75% of your field goal attempts having per 36 numbers of 12 points (on that kind of efficiency) 12 boards, 2.5 blocks and at least a steal. That's a pretty solid big man... some might like that more than Nurk to be honest... especially because he's more switchable on defense... still not mobile at an ideal level but definitely more mobile than our guy. So I'm not absolutely hating Nurk's deal but I'm definitely not hating this deal either.

The Mo Bamba interest on this board continues to surprise me, especially after seeing how Chauncey wants to defend ball screens.

Bamba is pretty strictly a deep drop big.

Isn't Elleby an UFA? Only signed for 2 years as a 2nd rounder.

Please let the Elleby/Blevins era be done. For the love of peach baskets, what was Olshey thinking?

If it was accurate, it would be ridiculous that Blazers would pay that much.

Congrats to Danny Marang with his new gig on the afternoon 1080 The Fan show. He's come quite a ways from being a poster on this local forum. Good timing with FA'cy coming.

Haynes reiterated ours and Dallas' interest in Thybulle. Team is trying to move Bledsoe, but if they can't find any deal, they'll waive EB.

Also mentioned Cousins, McGee, Biyombo, Ibaka, and Tristan as backup center options.

Cousins would have Dame written all over it. Not a bad vice Nurk either. But idk why Denver wouldn’t re-sign him he fit well there.

He signed on in time to talk about Blazer Free Agency. He brings a lot of Blazer content.

More from Haynes: Main priority still is to find another wing. Looking for a versatile defender. Keep an eye on Phoenix he said (CAM?!!).
