i'd like any of those guys for the minimum over a full MLE for the guys often bandied about (Hartenstein/Bamba/etc).
Eubanks for the minimum too if we can't get the others. Then spend the MLE on a defensive wing like Kyle Anderson.
I have been harping on Cam since December. Can absorb him right into our RoCo TPE, or trade them a cheaper contract like Keon if needed, along with a future first. Cronin would be completely absolved of any mistakes from the deadline if he could pull this off.
I'm pretty sure that the Grant trade we just pulled off was way better than the Nurk trade. Nurk was an upgrade from Plumlee but Plumlee was really good. We just got Grant for another team's future first and future seconds. People are really sleeping on this guy. It's crazy. I get it, he was inefficient when he was the only player on his team that could score. That won't be the case here. The dude can put the ball on the floor and score at every level, he's a solid passer and historically he made his name as a really good versatile defender before he played on a team that was actively trying to lose every season.
I'm not as high on Ingles as a lot of you are. I just don't think he'll be very effective coming back from an ACL this season at 34-35 years old. Just ask Jamal Murray I'm also not convinced about his trade value as an MLE level salary. but considering that I have almost never believed the Blazers would make a full-MLE offer because of the hard-cap factor, I can see the 'value' of assembling trade chips like Ingles on a 6-9M 1+1 deal plus a tax-MLE player and the two TPE's of 6.6M and 3.3M. Bringing Hart and Winslow into the mix really amps up Portland's trade assets (although I'd hate to see Hart traded)
This team is fucking idiotic. And cheap. They do this after doing the same with a lottery pick in Smith. After reading that piece on how Jones handles the draft, I'm even more convinced of how dumb they are.
I have to believe that Ingles' game is much less predicated on athleticism than Murray's is. I have no doubt that Joe can still bomb 3's even with questionable mobility.
analytics are ovverrated, im not sure why people are obssessed with it if were talking about efficiency, gobert is efficient and wouldnt it make sense for utah jazz to give him more shot attempts compared to mitchell or bogdanovic if efficiency means best player on offense, then he should be their 1st option, wouldnt you agree and same goes for robinson players like that are easy to take out of the game in the playoffs and poor gobert hasnt had success on defense (in the playoffs) lately either
Why even use draft picks if you don't give them cheap option years? They should just trade their picks away.
Please no, to Dipo. DDV's option got declined by the Kings. That's a guy who would fit very will with us.
