<font face="tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="2">I grew up in NE Pennsylvania which was the first place in the US to have "CATV" which was the birth of cable television. So we had cable in 63-64. While the rest of the country had 3 or 4 channels we had about 15. The Eagles were 135 miles away, they didn't always sell out, and the TV blackout rules back then were a much more fluid thing than they are now. In short, the Eagles games were not always on TV.</font></p>

<font face="Tahoma" size="2">The Steelers were over 200 miles away, and they were the doormats of the NFL. Chuck Noll was still playing for Cleveland then. So the Steelers were never on TV and that may have been a blessing.</font></p>

<font face="Tahoma" size="2">However, the AFL had a game on every week as part of "abc's Wide World of Sports" This is where I discovered the Raiders. The first guy I noticed was the center, he was wearing #00 ! When you're 9 years old, a guy wearing 00 is the coolest guy on earth.</font></p>

<font face="Tahoma" size="2">I'll go with Asomugha as my favorite player right now, but you can put Jim Otto down as my all time favorite Raider.</font></p>

<font face="Tahoma" size="2">Winning that first Super Bowl. That's a hard moment to beat.</font></p>

<font face="Tahoma" size="2">I have never met any Raider players but I did go to the game 2 yrs ago when the Raiders came to FedEx to play the Headskins.</font></p>

<font face="Tahoma" size="2">I own 2 #81's, and a #72 in black.In white #12 (Stabler), an autographed #37 (Hayes), #93, and my favorite Raider jersey is the #63 road jersey that has the silver #'s outlined in black. A classic. Unfortunately the Raiders had to scrap the silver #'s because the TV cameras couldn't pick up the players number on a bright sunny day. It made a kind of trailing effect on TV as a Raider player ran. So they had to change them to black #'s.</font></p>
