We are talking about a summer league boo-b00. This is anything but another "signal that the Trail Blazers organization isn't a well oiled machine"... Overreact (negatively, of course) much? One thing I have noticed recently in so many comments, by so many people, is a common thought that the team "owes us their thought process".. THEY DON"T.
Usually I think you're a little too close to the team to be impartial and tend to side with them a little too much but this is spot on. Sorry if that came off as a backhanded complement, just wanted to be honest with what I was thinking.

I will admit, (but not publicly) to a degree of truth to that, especially when it comes to Joe Cronin, who truly is one of the nicest people I have ever met in my entire life, easily, hands down. I will fight for him, (and Chauncey) but I still think I'm pretty level headed about stuff. I too have my complaints.
I don't know what you think I'm saying. It shouldn't be controversial or an overreaction to say that this organization isn't a well-oil machine, let's say since Paul Allen died. Don't make me list the ways, sheesh. It's been a mess, no? And sure the Blazers can do what they want, but if they want to get back to selling out every game, they should clean things up a little. Controlling the narrative is possible either way, it's just that this way bothers the fans.
They told us yesterday that he will play unless the MRI is bad. Like I just said, teams hate giving injury reports and only due because leagues force them to and they still tend to try and obfuscate those reports when they can. This isn't on the team, it's on our local media. We should have at least one reporter that has a connection with the team, who they could call and find out what the MRI results were yesterday but to expect the team to do it for the small percent of fans that are at the level of fanaticism we are, when they hate giving injury reports because it makes it easier on opponents and invades the privacy of players... it's not realistic. I'd love to know right now too but I'm not at all salty towards the team for not making a press release or holding a presser to say "Yep, he's still feeling good" or "We're getting a second MRI because the first was inconclusive." if it turns out that yesterday's MRI was conclusive and Shaedon is going to miss a portion of the regular season or even the rest of SL, then yeah I'll be pretty pissed they didn't just tell us that yesterday.
How many fans will it bother that they didn't tell us yesterday if Shaedon ends up playing during the rest of SL? I think all of us will be bothered if they sat on the news of a major injury for a day unless they're getting a second MRI or second opinion before hitting us with that. So what I'm saying is that this isn't symptomatic of any of the organizations problems unless they already have a conclusive and bad diagnosis.
Maybe you're being sarcastic but if not, it's my understanding that @Wade Garrett works at the Moda Center and has close contact with the team on a regular basis. You can correct me if I'm misremembering that Wade.
And by the way, I don't mind the bias because it comes with a ton of perspective that I don't have. So I really appreciate your contributions to all of the discussions in here but I do take them with the context that you've given us about where you're coming from. So a slight bias that comes with a lot more informed opinion is very valuable IMO. We all have our biases when it comes to this team, yours just happens to be informed in a unique way.
