Almost like there are different levels of tears.

For example, Nas didn’t have a re-evaluation period, nor was his tear diagnosed as small.

At the team. I'm furious that we don't get to see Shaedon play in SL. I'm more furious that he doesn't get the experience. I'm worried about if this will make him miss training camp which would be really bad for his chances to give any meaningful production this season. I feel really bad for the guy because he just kept saying that he couldn't wait to hoop again and now he has to wait longer and he doesn't even know how long.

Reports say that he was trying to get the coaching staff to let him back in the game on Thursday but they wouldn't. I'm glad the coaching staff used their better judgment and I'm not saying fuck you @AldoTrapani for questioning this kid's heart becasue that would be out of line but once again your take was shit.

The need for re-evaluation could just be a waiting period for the inflammation to come down. Perhaps that explains the delay in diagnosis if the imaging was not definitive.

Classification of "small" is really vague.

Paul George's tear was also classified as "small" fwiw, and he had surgery after playing with it. If they do go the surgery route, I hope they do it quickly and hope he can resume activity before the turn of the calendar year at least.

What's irrational about being pissed that we don't get to see Shaedon for the rest of SL? Or are you referring to those who think we're cursed and think his career is over and whatnot? This is outrageous, he is the most exciting propect we've had since Dame and he's probably a more exciting prospect so he's the most exciting prospect we've had since Oden (not trying to rile up the doomsdayists). So it's really shitty as fans that he got hurt but shittier for him that he doesn't get this opportunity to start his career, knock the rust off and get familiar with the system in a hands on way.

Can a labral tear in the shoulder heal itself?

The recovery depends upon many factors, such as where the tear was located, how severe it was and how good the surgical repair was. It is believed that it takes at least four to six weeks for the labrum to reattach itself to the rim of the bone, and probably another four to six weeks to get strong.

    He's a project. I've had a labrum tear and I had a strong feeling that's what happened.

So best case scenario is playing again in 8 weeks. I think we'll actually get that timetable after that reevaluation in 10-14 days. They might say 8-12 weeks or they might say surgery which means 3 to 6 months. Ugh! I really hope for him that it's 8 weeks and he'll be able to participate in training camp and preseason. Fucking Sucks!!!

Damn. Tanked a whole season to get a high draft pick. Fell to number 7. Drafted Sharpe. Sharpe immediately gets injured.

Honestly we still don't know how much of a project this young guy is. He could be years away from meaningful contribution but he could have been moments away from knocking off the rust and getting over the nerves and absolutely dominating that game. That turnaround fadeaway of he hit right before getting injured was polished, there's no way to know just how many of those polished moves this guy has. There's also no way to know if he's that polished on the other side of the ball.

He is likely a project but there's a very real posibility that he's ready (when healthy) to be very effective at the highest level.
