Sounds like there aren't many offers for KD. Teams don't want to give up a ton of picks or young guys for a 34 year old on a super max that is unhappy with his 3rd franchise. Two studs on Durants wish list of teams; Booker and Bam are ineligible to be traded. Nets GM will have a hard time selling their owner on a return that is less than what Utah got for Gobert. Appears this will go on a while with both Durant and Irving being members of the Nets into training camp. If the Blazers weren't hard capped we might actually have a had a real shot at getting him. Now there is no chance until December, and even then it'll be extremely hard to get salaries that are more than Durants 44 million instead of only being within 20% of it.
If Dame will be mvp shinig till Dec, Blazers should at least try to get him and land that chip next three years.
you know, if Brooklyn holds KD into the season, and Ant plays as well as expected, that could be a prime chip. I think theres a greater than 0% chance that Ant turns into as good of a player as Booker, if not better, at least offensively. So if Phoenix isnt willing to offer him up, they could potentially get a younger version. I also think Ant would be a more valued trade piece than Bam, just because ballhandlers will always be more valued in todays NBA. As for why Portland would offer up Ant if he was that good, they'd still have Hart and Sharpe if hes anywhere near as good as advertised.
Yes. Our best shot at a star (KD or otherwise) is to go into the season and hope that one or more of Ant, Sharpe, or Little take a huge leap into “blue chip” territory that can then be used as the foundation (along with picks) for an all star.
Whaaaat? Why? Parkrose HS, in Portland, Oregon. (edit)..Casey says it's some kind of Portland Pro-Am Game. But, still....
lol I’m just messing. My dad grew up in St. John’s and went to Roosevelt. He’d always describe when he played Parkrose in sports as the rich kids
whoaa!!! Its official! He will be in a Blazer uni next year!!! Platy, ever play in that gym? I used to go there often and play on Saturday’s in highschool with a church group a couple of friends of mine were in. Then again about a decade ago for a few years with my another friends basketball group. Beer drinking basketball group believe it or not! Anyhow, now i can say ive shot hoops in the same gym as KD!!! And its the pinnacle of my basketball career!!! Haha
Yeah it’s off like Sandy Blvd and 205 right? Can’t be too great unless youre searching for a rub and tug My parents friends used to own a 49ers themed bar out there. I think that’s my only recollection of hanging in that area.
They built a new school and gym? ahh man, maybe i didn't play in the same gym. There goes the pinnacle of my basketball career!
I graduated in '96, and then they tore down that school and built a new one. It made sense... that old building peaked with my presence.
