i don't see anyone giving him more than the minimum, tbh, so this might all just be moot.

i think more pressing question now is if we want to stretch his contract or not.

Yeah, I started to look into the set off, and then realized was likely moot, who is giving him more than the minimum.
I'm torn on stretching him. I hate having the salary on the books like that. Would prefer to be one and done on the cap hit. However, there could be a need to stretch it to make a signing this season, and stay under the cap. I'm not sure if that decision needs to be made immediately or not ,however.

it sure would make a lot of sense if the team can decide on that at the end of the regular season. Whether or not that's an option I don't know

I’m coming around on having GPII on the team. If we are going to go the small ball route another year, GPII really is a really good compliment with our other guards given that Dame, Ant, and Hart can all score. I really like a bench lineup of Ant/Payton/Hart. You can also sub in Payton and Hart early for Ant and Little if either struggle. Dame/Payton/Hart would offset Dame as a liability on defense.

Shaedon will be developing all year. I think it’s likely that if Nas pops, we trade Hart at the deadline and give Shaedon the backup SF minutes to develop. If he doesn’t, we likely trade him and re-sign Hart, then start Hart until Sharpe can start at any point during his rookie contract.

I’m surprisingly upbeat and optimistic on the 3 guard lineup working this season. Even if he came here with the philosophy that 2/3s are the same position, he came in last year not inheriting the ideal 2/3s for his system. This year he’ll get a full season with 3 new guys introduced to his system in Hart, GPII, Sharpe, and Walker, and he’ll have the job of developing Sharpe and Brown into guys that’ll fit in his system.
