    I don’t think any other instrument has had as much impact on the music of the past 75 years as the humble guitar. This thread is dedicated that instrument. So post some of your favorite music or information about instruments here.

    I’ll start off with this one. I’m thinking this guy has no problems with rubbing his head and patting his tummy at the same time:

    Supposedly, the guitar solo by Leon McAuliffe in the middle of this tune was the first electric guitar solo ever recorded (beating a guy named Eddie Durham who did it on Hittin' The Bottle by a week). Anyway, I'm a long time fan of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. They were among the first to bring electric guitars to both country and western music (which then became Western Swing) and they (deservedly) have a place of honor in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
