Agent: Martz wants to coach Rams this seasonESPN.com news servicesMike Martz is feeling better and would like to return to the St. Louis Rams' sideline this season, his agent said Tuesday.Bob LaMonte told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that the coach will ask his doctors for permission to coach again."Mike's original plan was to retreat to San Diego and reflect on the future, but he has started to feel so well, walking two or three miles a day ... the bottom line: he feels great," LaMonte said.It is unknown whether the doctors will allow him to come back. Martz said Oct. 24 that he would not coach again this season after being diagnosed with endocarditis, a bacterial infection of the lining of the heart or a heart valve. On Thursday, he was taken off medication for the condition.Martz is in San Diego but expects to return to St. Louis on Friday or Saturday.LaMonte had a discussion with Rams president John Shaw two weeks ago about Martz's future with St. Louis, and according to LaMonte, Martz wants to come back and fulfill his contract in 2006.Rams officials had no immediate reaction to Martz's possible comeback. He's 56-37 in his sixth season with the team, taking them to one Super Bowl and serving as offensive coordinator for the franchise's only championship after the 1999 season.Martz, 54, was admitted to a hospital on Sept. 30 for treatment, on Oct. 5 announced he had been sick for several weeks and that his condition prevented him from attending practice, and five days later he was readmitted to a hospital.Joe Vitt has coached the team in his absence. The Associated Press contributed to this reportI personall wouldn't mind having him back. I'm a Rams fan and I love Martz. I think he is the best offensive minded coach in the game today, and one of the best of all tim. He can make any QB into a winner, just like he did with Ryan Fitzpatrick on Sunday.

Good to hear that he is doing well, but take it easy Mike Martz, the Rams are a mess right now and you want no part of that. [IMG]

can you blame him? BOO COWBOYS [IMG] I think he just doesn't want to end their season with a substitute head coach, he wants them to know whos their boss next year.
