The teachers were given no choice but to engage or die. In this case they died, as did their students. Seems to be a pretty strong case to allow them to arm themselves if they want to be trained.
If guns are banned then these are the people who are going to be responsible for protecting you. I'll roll the dice on myself thank you very much.
