Our remodel project took way longer than expected. I would suspect it would become even more of an issue with a build proposition. Our neighbors did an ADU build and it took almost 2 years... yikes.
Obviously it's a seller's market but if you are renting and don't own a home....that's even a bigger waste of money....the other option is lease with the option to buy but to me....land is less risky than an expensive box......to get started
Forget the house. Take the $750k and invest it all in crypto. It's on sale! Did I do that right? barfo
you forgot to mention "crypto" is what you named your new pirate ship though and it's spelled "on sail"
https://www.cbsnews.com/dfw/news/i-...pay-more-or-have-builders-contract-cancelled/ Builders can also hold you hostage and ask for more money or cancel the contract in its entirety. https://news.yahoo.com/fort-worth-family-loses-dream-213853592.html?soc_src=community&soc_trk=tw
Also, if you're building new, you have to allocate 25-30% of your budget to upgrades from the builder. So a $750k house is really a $500k house with $250k in upgrades (otherwise it will look bare bones).
