I think there was another guy with both of them, but they got split up. It sounded like Reinoehl left and they followed him, but split up looking for him. And that's when Reinoehl approached Jay. Jay's partner was there a few seconds after he went down. But again, this is pieced together as my interpretation of what happened from many different reports I read the following weeks/months. Jay's partner (Chandler Pappas) said Jay didn't have a gun, but they found a gun with 2 spare extended mags on him. DeSantas has not endeared himself to the general public since he follows the austere Republican guidelines these days. I especially hate that he wants College students to declare their party.
