Just saw one homeless dude punch another three times in the face in front of cops who did nothing about it. For those bitching about Portland homeless being the worst. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Ours looks bad because of the tents. But, I can assure you, Boston has a much worse homeless issue. Talked to someone from Arizona yesterday who said they have a huge homeless problem too. He agreed with me that the Boston homeless are substantially more aggressive than home. The homeless in Boston bang on your car windows demanding money.
People rag on the homeless because it shows how society is failing. They don't realize that they are part of society, so they are failing. And they choose to remain ignorant and support punishing the victims of failed society.
The media portrayed Portland as being the worst, that our homeless are the worst, that we aren't doing anything about it, that nobody will want to come here because of them etc. While we do have a homeless issue, it is all a bunch of bullshit. Big cities across the US have these problems. It isn't just Portland and we certainly aren't the worst.
Agreed. And Multnomah County has approved funding that could fully cover a legitimate housing first solution. If they do it right, they can solve the problem.

That title is completely misleading and bordering on fake news. The kid was found to have a gun in a bag on him he wouldn't release while pinned down.
