Thick skinned is sometimes used as a "it's ok I called you an offensive name, racist, misogynistic, discriminatory, but its ok! Have thick skin"

If you wanna say racist and homophobic stuff go ahead. Just don't be surprised if someone tears into you about it.

I've never known HoopGuru to say anything racist or homophobic and nor do I think he ever would.

Not accusing him of doing so.

Those are the things people should never say and justify them as jokes telling people to get thick skin.

Everyone ranges in their feelings on being teased. People should be respectful of that.

Asking for "thick skin" with anything that is ableist, homophobic, racist etc. Deserves scrutiny.

I never accused him of doing so.

He disagreed with what i said calling out racism, misogyny etc in regard to thick skin. So i told him to knock himself out with those things if he disagrees thick skin isnt used to defend those things.

Sure, it can be used to defend those terrible things. It has become a mainstay for attacks on political correctness.

I think Hoop was trying to say he doesn't use it to defend racism or homophobia and maybe wasn't aware it is used in such ways. But, I'll leave that to him to clarify.

You didn't. You disagreed with me saying thick skin is often used to justify saying horrible things including racism, misogyny and the like. I never accused you of saying something racist or homophobic.
