    Saw Lanny today. He's not doing the greatest. The heart valve surgery is off. More risk than reward for the procedure. They want him to exercise more but he gets dizzy when he stands up.

    I should say that Lanny isn't doing the greatest physically, mentally he's pure Lanny. The nurse was in the room checking stuff and for some reason, olives came up in the conversation. Lanny preceded to give her the 5min engineer's explanation of the difference between a martini and a Gibson. Made me smile.

    No....I wondered about that ...usually someone with kidney problems at his age would be a risk for that surgery...I'm sorry to hear it but I'd trust the docs on this one.

    I was a bartender for a while in college. A bunch of people would disagree with you on this. Martini's do indeed have olives and the superstition is in groups of three's or one singular. Never two olives.

    It’s unfortunate to hear that the surgery is off. Hopefully it will work for him some time in the future if needed.

    Sounds like Lanny needs a basketball hoop in the driveway so he can go out and shoot free throws for a while every day.
