    More opportunities for men means necessarily implies fewer opportunities for women. Fewer opportunities is a bad thing.

    My proposal makes more opportunities for women, or at least protects the opportunities which already exist.

    I'm confused why you're saying otherwise.

    Your proposal would reduce legitimate opportunities for women.

    I agree, that's bad, and that's why I'm opposed to it.
