<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Mike Tice's message to Vikings fans: Do as I say, not as I do.Tice told the Star Tribune of Minneapolis, Minn., that he was upset with the number of Steelers fans that occupied seats at the Metrodome on Sunday, estimating their numbers at 15,000 to 20,000. The newspaper reported that if Tice's estimation was correct, at least 10,000 of the Vikings' season-ticket holders sold their tickets."It confuses me, I guess," Tice told the newspaper. "Maybe they're not really diehard season-ticket holders or maybe they needed the money for Christmas presents. I don't know. One of the two."However, in June, Tice was fined $100,000 by the NFL for scalping his Super Bowl tickets. Tice had acknowledged reselling some of his personal allotment of 12 Super Bowl tickets last season and had also resold his tickets as a Vikings assistant coach from 1996-2001.Each NFL player has the right to purchase up to two Super Bowl tickets at face value, which this year was $500 and $600 depending on the seat. But they must sign a document saying they won't resell them at a profit. Individual teams determine the number of tickets available to coaches. On Sunday, the Vikings lost 18-3 to the Steelers -- a damaging blow to the team's playoff hopes. Tice said the number of Steelers fans at Sunday's game affected the Vikings' home-field advantage."Look, when you go to some stadiums, it's so deafening that you can't hear. When you have 15 to 20 thousand of the opponent's fans in there, it's not deafening," Tice told the newspaper. "There is a difference. The fans that were there were great. But it wasn't like a big game when it's just your guys in there."Maybe, in their defense, they sold the tickets when ... we were 2-5. Maybe they said, 'The heck with it, I'm not going to that.' Maybe that's the case. Or maybe Pittsburgh fans are just a little more diehard than our fans are."</div>http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2266174
I saw a ton of Steelers fans in the stands so I think that it is true, but that's no excuse for a loss--there are always fans of the opposing team in the stands.
Mike Tice is an idiot....how can someone who scalped super bowl tickets be complaining about their own fans selling their tickets to steelers fans.
While this is stupid, I don't understand why those loyal Vikings fans didn't get on those Steelers fans the way Sox fans did to me at that game I went to. For those of you who don't know, I was at the Sox-Twins game on August 15 to root for the Twins and I got pelted w/ trash.

I would have bought beer with the intent of giving you a Bud Light shower.

That alone validated the thought of a beer shower IMO. As for the ejected fans...be humble now. You aren't the reason they got ejected. Security don't play when it comes to that stuff. Especially at White Sox games. They don't play around on the South Side of Chicago.
I see. What kind of dissadent are you? Are you a political dissadent? Did you come up w/ the name dissadent after seeing why I became a Bears fan? As for the Sox fans, they threw peanut shells, hot dog wrappers, and empty beer and soda cups. I didn't call for security, and they ejected the fans pelting me w/ trash. Perfect game, Twins won, Sox lost, and a few Sox fans got ejected. Oh, and I was sitting next to a guy who was rooting for the Twins in a Cardinals jersey.
You can enjoy the ejected fans and the win that day...I enjoyed the WS. You changing your name had nothing to do w/ me. I registered w/ this name before I knew you were a cheerleader. Rah, Rah. Twins suck. Bears will lose in the playoffs. Can't wait to chat then.

If Grossman continues to pass the way he has, I'd be scared to face the Bears in the playoffs. The passing game the way it is, the running game, the defense, oh and the return of Cedric Benson. A fresh RB. Also, Adrian Peterson. We got a 3-headed monster at HB. A 3-headed monster at HB, a 2-headed monster at QB, a WR corps getting better, a passing game, and the best defense in the NFL. Look out. I also think in the AFC the Colts will get knocked off by New England. They're getting healthy and Tom Brady hasn't lost in the postseason.
The Bears (or anybody else) arent going to beat Seattle In Seattle in January.Sorry, but its just the truth IMO.
