Re: Greatest game you've ever been to? I'm sure there's been this topic before...but I haven't seen one since I joined so I figured I'd start one. What is the greatest game you have ever been to? Any sport, doesn't really matter. Pro, college, high school, junior high, whatever you want. For me it was back in April of 2002. Minneoapolis Minnesota, H.H.H Metrodome, Baltimore Orioles @ Minnesota Twins. I am a big Twins fan..but they sucked back then, but I didn't care. This was the game where Cal Ripken Jr. hit the 3,000th hit of his career off of LaTroy Hawkins. It was the greatest thing ever. Also, after he got his hit, my uncle wanted to get Cal's book that he wrote autographed for his son (uncles son, not Cal's). So he went over to where Cal's wife and kids were because he knew Ripken would go there after he got his hit. And when my uncle was holding the book out over the railing Cal was reaching up giving the ball to his wife and Sports Illustrated took a picture, in which you could CLEARLY see my uncle in his green jacket staring at the camera. It was by far the greatest game I've ever been to, though I haven't been to many.
Re: Greatest game you've ever been to? Even though the Packers lost, I'd have to say it was a game this '05 season, Nov. 21st. I went to Lambeau Field for the first time in my life. Monday Night Football vs. the Vikings. I'm sure most of you watched the game on TV, but being there, and being a longtime follower of the Pack, just the idea of being IN Lambeau overshadowed the loss.
Re: Greatest game you've ever been to? One time we took a looong drive to see the Jaguars vs Saints game. Saints down 6 with 7 seconds left, on their own 20 yard line. Brooks throws a long pass to Stallworth, who run across the middle of the field, tosses it back to Michael Lewis, who runs a little while, then tosses it back to D. McAllister, whothrows it to the other side to Pathon for a TD, to tie it up..then Carney misses the PAT. hahahah

I hear ya on the loooong trip. I traveled 600 miles to see the game at Lambeau. Bought the tix on the internet. $281 per ticket, plus all the bs fees that go along with it. Got the tix in the mail...$59 face value. Crazy, but I said I would go there one day. Even though Favre is having a crappy year, it was a plus to be able to catch a game in GB before he was gone.
Re: Greatest game you've ever been to? The best sports game I've been to was this year the season opener of the NHL. Toronto Maple Leafs vs Ottawa Senators first shootout in the history of the NHL and Ottawa won which made it even better.
Re: Greatest game you've ever been to? Well, I've ever been to an NFL game.....I want to go to one one day. I really want to see a Giants-Panthers game. I live in T.O. so that wouldn't be that hard. Now all I have to do is wait till that game comes around.
Re: Greatest game you've ever been to? I haven't been to many games, so I'm going to have to go with the NFC Championship game last year between the Eagles and the Falcons. Though I am a fan of NEITHER team, I don't mind watching the Eagles every once and a while since I live so close to Philly and my friend offered to take me to the game since he had season tickets last year (I also went to the Ravens game on Halloween last year and the NFC Conference Playoff Game last year that they had vs. the Vikings)This game was truly awesome to watch because at the end there was all that confetti and it was FREEZING cold and Terry Bradshaw did the trophy presentation, it was just an awesome game to watch. Glad I could go.
Re: Greatest game you've ever been to? Greatest game i've ever been was the playoffs game with the Steelers/Browns Wild-Card game. Some people actually left when we were getting killed, but we had this amazing comeback, and damn, that was incredible. That game was nuts.
Re: Greatest game you've ever been to? Sox-Twins game on August 15. Twins won, Sox lost. Best part: I got Sox fans ejected for pelting me w/ trash and I didn't even call for security!

Browns were driving for game-tying FG, and the guy got OB, but there was no time left.

We had the lead, then Browns were moving down the field, Holcomb fires a ball in the 40s yard line, i forget who it was, but the guy tried to go out of bound so they can set a fg but time ran out.
Re: Greatest game you've ever been to? First Broncos game i went to, Jaguars vs Broncos on the playoff 1998 i think.
